Introducing RANGEMAN, the latest addition to the Master of G series of tough and rugged timepieces that are designed and engineered to stand up to the most grueling conditions imaginable. RANGEMAN employs a Shock Resistant Triple Sensor, which makes it capable of keeping altitude, barometric pressure, temperature and direction readings at your fingertips.
Cylindrical buttons provide outstanding operation and improved resistance to impact. The frequently used sensor button (center right) has a metal cover that protects it against lateral impact and keeps foreign matter out. Pressing the sensor button in any mode takes you directly to a sensor screen. Each sensor mode has its own audible tone, which means you can determine which mode you are entering without even looking at the watch.
All of this plus sunrise/sunset data, one-touch time recording, one-touch elapsed time measurement, world-renowned G-Shock toughness and durability, and much more makes RANGEMAN the perfect choice for rangers, rescue crews, and anyone else whose profession or activities demand unfailing reliability. Black resin band digital watch with black face, red accents on the dial and the side button.

28 February 2018 – CASIO has extended the G-SHOCK’s MASTER OF G collection with a new RANGEMAN model, the GPR-B1000. This addition to the family retains the successful formula of its predecessors, but comes enhanced with solar-powered GPS navigation capability – the first such function for a wristwatch in the world.
Like the rest of the MASTER OF G collection, the new RANGEMAN is built to thrive in demanding environments. Its oversized case has the familiar shock-resistant construction all G-SHOCKs come with, plus additional dust- and mud-resistant features to ensure its survival out in the field. The watch is also capable of functioning down to temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius. Within it is CASIO’S Triple Sensor, which measures compass bearing, atmospheric pressure/altitude, and temperature – vital information that contribute to the wearer’s situational awareness.
In a first for any G-SHOCK timepiece, the GPR-B1000 comes with standalone GPS navigation capabilities. The watch doesn’t just display the current location on a route or bearing to a location in real time, but also saves route and point data (including location, altitude, and temperature) throughout a track. By connecting the GPR-B1000 to a smartphone via Bluetooth, its wearer can download logged data from the watch and view it either as a map or a timeline. Routes can also be uploaded from the smartphone to the watch.
Powering the watch’s myriad functions is a battery that’s rechargeable via both wireless and solar charging systems. A 5-hour charge on the wireless system will power the GPR-B1000’s GPS functions for up to 33 hours, after which timekeeping functions will continue to be available. Solar charging supplements this out in the field, with GPS navigation extended by 1 hour for every 4 hours of charging under 50,000 lux conditions (equivalent to an overcast day in summer). To achieve this level of efficiency, CASIO refined its case construction to use a ceramic case back for the first time, to support both wireless charging and high-sensitivity GPS reception.
GPS Navigation
- Navigate and Log
The watch collects location data from GPS satellites to display the current location on a route or bearing to a destination, in real-time. Turn on GPS navigation to automatically record tracks with either four-second or one-minute interval recording. (Save up to 20 tracks in memory.)
- Backtrack
The watch helps users navigate back to where they started, using track data to display the route back to the starting point and bearing.
- Point Memory
The user can save point data (including date/time, longitude/latitude, altitude, atmospheric pressure, and temperature) by just pushing a button. Set point icons to indicate the type of point. (Save up to 60 points.)
Bluetooth Smartphone Pairing to Connect with G-SHOCK Connected App
- Receive data from time servers to keep accurate time anywhere in the world.
When paired with a smartphone, the watch receives data from time servers to keep accurate time anywhere in the world. Easily configure world time cities, alarms, and timers from the G-SHOCK Connected app.
- Start/End Point, Route Setting
Set the start/end points to use GPS to navigate to a destination and create routes.
- Display Tracks on 2D or 3D Maps
